    I don’t think so as I never write this within the code.

    It goes away when I deactivate the component..

    I think you have some other audio component either as plug in or inside the theme you are using. Inspecting the HTML code I can see that something is wrapping the hidden audio tag generated by the mb.miniAudioplayer with a div that has “mejs-audio” as class-name. This is not managed by the mb.miniAudioPlayer.
    Take a look at your theme configuration; as I can see you are using the “Pinboard” theme, and, from the code, there’s a function invoked on any audio and video elements: $(‘audio,video’).mediaelementplayer(…) at line 183. That could be the cause.

    You are correct, changing the template the issue goes away. Thank you for your help, I’ll dig deeper to see if I can fix it
