As you can see with the link attached, if you try to download the file (.mp3), you’ll get the Failed – Network error.
If the file comes from the media library, download will work fine.
Instead if you upload it directly to the WPDM post or select it “from the server” ( this folder /www/wp-content/uploads/wp-file-manager-pro), you’ll get the error.
If I select “Open it in browser” => file will be open (and played as it is a .MP3), but I still won’t be able to download it.
I tried to remove cache (WP Rocket) & security plugin (Shield security), tried to unmask links & deactivate output buffering & download resume => I still get the error.
