 * I have been sporadically running into download errors on larger files since the
   last update.
 * Any insight that can help me figure this out?

 * Can you please share the size of the files?
 * Please note that our plugin uses PHP to process downloads. This is required in
   order to lock them and calculate the download count.
 * Since a PHP process has a time limit and memory allocation, if these limits are
   small then it would affect the download. I would recommend either increasing 
   these limits or to host the files on something like Amazon S3.
