Also, on that same page, the player does not work in any version of Internet Explorer that I’ve tried. Any ideas? 🙁

    Hi,
For the “map_download.php” problem I just update the plug in to version 1.2.8 making a better coded download page; don’t know if this will solve your problem(it is working fine for me in all my tests) but you can give it a try.

For the IE issue, I tested it on IE7 / IE8 / IE9 with success; for IE as for FF the plug-in is falling back to a flash hidden player so your problem could be related to the installed flash plug-in on your computers.

    Hi Matteo
Firstly, i thank you for developing this great plugin and after trying many, i finally settled with this one, looks great.

I am faced with this issue of downloading. I read the plugin FAQ and i understand the cross border thing however still it did not work. Then i tested with another mp3 file that was uploaded using post’s add media option < 20MB of size. This one worked and downloading was ok.

However, the files which are more than 20 MB due to my hosting service restrictions, i had to use FTP to upload them and by using the plugin ‘Add from Server’ i could add these files to Media library and they are visible and can be played by your plugin however can’t be downloaded. It opens a page saying file not found. I am using the latest version of your plugin.

    Any advise?

by ‘cross border’ i meant cross domain, in my case it’s same domain however the media file used the format of http://mydomain.com/uploads/wp-content/ structure

    Hi,
You can try adding the www in your media file path: http://www.mydomain.com/uploads/wp-content/

Anyway I could help you better if you give me an URL of the page where this issue happens.

    Hi Thanks for your reply.

Yes http://www.mydomain.com is already there so that should not be an issue as i copied the media link from the media library which includes www.

The link to issue post is:

    http://www.hasbunallah.com.au/category/audio-eng/audio-eng-audio-eng/

As soon as you click on the download button, it opens a next page with error, there you may see www is included.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Muhammad

I just tried browsing: http://www.hasbunallah.com.au/category/audio-eng/audioeng/ and trying download the “CD 1” and as you told it goes to the error page.
But if I copy the path to the file that is in the URL the file can’t play. Try yourself, this is the path that the map_download.php page receives to point and stream as download the file audio:
    http://www.hasbunallah.com.au/wp-content/uploads/audios/English/AbuAdnan/Critical_Analysis_of_Bidaah_CD_01.mp3

So the problem seams related to the file maybe a different permission on it that block the process…

    Bye,
    Matteo
