Hi Ryan can you give me a link to the page so I can check it out please?

Thanks mate. Without getting too much into it the way we prevent the add to cart functionality is by removing the ability to buy the product. That triggers the WooCommerce behaviour of adding the buy now button saying “Read More”.
There might be a way around that to add a download button, but I’m just tackling a few other things. It might be a bit of work so if it’s possible I’ll look at adding it in the future 🙂
For now you can change the text from “Read More” in the plugin settings to say something else. Like “Download Page” maybe.

Ok, so it’s Woo changing the button, not your plugin; correct?
That makes sense. I’ll change the text for now and see if I can dig into Woo a bit and come up with something better long term.
Thanks for the help, and the plugin.
Yes mate, default behaviour for anything that is not available for purchase. I have to make it not purchasable in order to remove all add to cart functionality.
My guess is there will be a hook I can grab onto and add some content to that area, instead of the default read more button. I will defo add it to my list for future features.
Ignore me. Just thought I’d have a play while the kettle is boiling, and I’ve done it.
Leave it with me for a few days so I can test it out, but expect an update next week to download straight from archive pages etc.
If you could take a minute to leave me a review that would be great, would help me out 🙂
This is now included in 2.3, an option to allow downloading from shop and archive pages etc.
