I would like to share gpx files that are uploaded in the backend to all users.
The upload is okay and lands in the correct folder.
On the frontend i placed the shortcode [shared_files] in a Divi text module.
    On the frontend i see:

    • document image
    • filename with a link to the page
    • Download button
When i click the download button not the gpx is downloaded but a file called download.htm
      What am i missing?

    Hi,

Could you please share the settings you have added to enable the .gpx file type, from the plugin settings, Allow more file types -tab?

And also, there’s the setting “Compatibility mode” in Technical -tab, could you please activate that if inactive?

I have enabled the check for extra filetype 1 and in the field below (file extension) i entered .gpx
    Mime type is empty.
Number of extra files is set to 1
Compatibility mode is disabled but i also tested with comaptible mode enabled but no luck.

For the time being i’m working with the plugin download manager but shared files would be my favorite.

Thanks for the info. Could you please add text/xml to the mime type and try again?

I’ll close this now, but please let me know if you still have any issues. I’m also adding a debug mode to the next version of the plugin, which should help in debugging various issues.
