    Dear Friends,

I have upgrade from 1.10.9 to 1.10.11 and have many problems…

So using Timely Updater by Timely, upgrade to 2.05 and have many problems to activate add-ons Legacy Themes and Facebook Connect…

So I removed all.. (delete uninstall.php via FTP) and excludes plugin.

I have manual upgrade to 1.10.9 and can’t activate plugin. Return:
Fatal error: Call to a member function set_defaults() on a non-object in /home/storage/d/e1/6b/guiagerais1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/app/model/class-ai1ec-settings.php on line 439

    Anybody help me?

I’m sorry by my poor english

    Thank you!

I’m with you Mikael – I have been using this plugin on a few sites for quite some time, and *every* time I run a major upgrade I run into trouble and I spend hours chasing down the issues – *unpaid* time at that.

It’s too bad, because the intended functionality of ai1ec is wonderful, but the implementation is shoddy at best. I am still on the lookout for an alternative that works without having to muck around in someone else’s bloatware.

    Hi Jashan,

I don’t want to reenter the events, they are quite many by now…
But if that is the only option, how do I make a clean install of 2.0.5?
Do I delete the events via phpmyadmin or can I delete some folders with ftp?

I agree with you mlindi, I like All-in-one-Calendar as a plugin, it looks nice and has many features. What I don’t like is all the issues when upgrading. All other plugins on my site are easily upgraded with the standard procedure of upgrading.

    BR,
    Mikael

    Jashan,

How do I do to REMOVE WARNING about new version under version 1.10.9?
The button of upgrade is very bad…

    Thanks!

bkss: If you want to delete the events and all your settings, simply uninstalling the plugin should do that, then reinstalling it. In that case you do not want to follow the manual upgrade guide, as that’s about preseving events.

If you want to remove the events, but not delete your settings, you would need to delete all the records in the following tables:
    ai1ec_event_instances
    ai1ec_events
    ai1ec_facebook_users_events

    Notes:
Always back up your database before deleting records, just in case.
Do not delete the tables, just the records in them.

Ramon: You might want to look at the Update Notifications Manager plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/update-notifications-manager/

It allows you to disable notifications for specific plugins, or across the site completely.

FWIW: Time.ly now seem to be releasing updates for the 2.x series apprximately every 2 weeks in an effort to get all the bugs in the Core squashed. Hopefully V2.0.7 should be out early in the next week.

Note: There definitely will be bugs that aren’t fixed in V2.0.7. The bugs that will be addressed are the ones that Time.ly have fixes for, which may not necessarily be all the bugs. They’re definitely trying to solve as many issues as possible though, particularly focusing on the big ones that cause users the most grief. That said, I forwarded to them

PS: I don’t work for Time.ly. I just have a good reappore with their staff and have lots of experience in software dev/qa/admin processes.

    Cefiar,

Update Notifications Manager plugin dont remove update alert of all-event-calendar on dashboard.

I tried to update to latest version 2.0.7, but it looks totally weird, please see:
    http://www.bkss.se/arsprogram/
    What has gone wrong?

I have given up this plug and use Google Calendar instead.
    It’s a pity because I really liked AI1C when it worked…

Go to Dashboard->Events->Calendar Themes and change to a different calendar theme. Once you do this, change back to the original calendar theme you have.

This will prod Ai1ec into recreating all the CSS, and your formatting will return.

I have the full paid license for this plugin and it is breaking my site. When upgrading to your newest version it breaks the entire site, front end, back end completely gone. I need this fixed asap I run a highly used and highly visable site with many users synced to this calendar so it needs to work. Please help or release a fix.

Okay tried the link above that is supposed to have an article about how to fix this and there is no article there. Deleted the ai1ec through ftp so I could get my site back but now I am left without a calendar. Any way I could get the documentation on how to fix this issue? Anything at this point would be better than having to rebuild an entire calendar system.

Fix for the Save Settings bug in 2.1.1: https://time.ly/forums/topic/settings-errors-on-latest-update-2-1-1/page/2/#post-135175

    Performing a manual upgrade/downgrade: http://time.ly/document/troubleshooting/perform-manual-upgrade/

All user guides are now at: http://time.ly/support/user-guide/

Note: support.time.ly was shut down. The content worked for old versions only and many people were still referring to it thinking the processes were valid for 2.x series products.

Also: If you paid a license for the plugin, you really should use the forums at https://time.ly/forums/ as that’s what they’re there for.

I will use the forum in the future. Was just hoping they posted a solution I could use quickly. Thanks for the help.
