Might be related to twitter stopping v1.0 of its API: https://dev.twitter.com/blog/api-v1-is-retired
The plug-in’s developer needs to modify it to work with v1.1 of Twitter’s API if it hasn’t already been. This has been a long time coming so developers have had plenty of warning. All I can suggest is to get in touch with that plug-in’s author to update it.
Yep same problem for me 🙁
Same problem for me too. I tweeted the developer (@wpsmith – http://wpsmith.net/), but he hasn’t been on Twitter at all this year so I don’t know if he’s around or what.
I’m going to embed the Twitter widget for the time being, but I really like using the Genesis version. Hopefully he updates the plugin.
I just heard back from the developer’s assistant. She’s said he’s out of town this week, but he plans on updating the plugin when he returns.
Just a follow up on this, our team is taking the plugin and updating it with the latest Twitter API, and we’ll hopefully be pushing out something this afternoon. We will drop a link to the new plugin once it’s available for you to download and install.
Thank you Brian!!
[No bumping. If it’s that urgent, consider hiring someone.]
That’s a relief – thought that it was just me.
Good to hear that Studiopress are updating the plugin.
I’m having the same issue. Brian, has there been some progress on this? Thanks!
I sounded pretty pushy in that comment. LOL. I’ll wait for your update instead of pushing you for one. Thanks!
Travis Smith (plugin dev) says he’s hoping to have an update pushed out today. In the meantime, feel free to remove the Genesis Latest Tweets widget from your sidebar for now, just so it’s not showing the bad link.
Anyone have the link to the new plugin yet?
Thanks for the update Brian
Will await release then update.
Regards and best wishes
Your plugin has served me well for the past year. Thanks for the update, Brian.
Just checking in…has anyone noticed it working yet? Thanks!
