• I have three questions:

    1. Where do I configure that when adding a product to the cart, it stays on the page of the current step?

    2. How do I establish mandatory categories?

    3. Other products appear below the pages of each step. How do I remove them?

    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in SBS.

I’m happy to help you with your questions:

    For #1

To make a product mandatorhy (required), the product you wish to make required and edit the product.

    Scroll down to:

    Step-By-Step Fields (Premium)

(check) RequiredProduct must be in cart in order to check out.

(check) Auto Add To CartAutomatically add to cart when customer navigates to containing page.

This is a feature of our premium product, so you will not be able to do this with the light version. If you go to our main site, you can download a free version of the premium plugin as a trial to test this. (https://stepbystepsys.com)

    For #2

This is a feature of our premium plugin. You can set this in the Woocommerce categories section when you set up a specific category.

    For #3

Make sure the page you are establishing for Step-By-Step is a page that only uses the short-code for step-by-step. There should be nothing below that, other than perhaps a footer. If you wish to use our Widgets, you will need to establish the page as a page with a sidebar. The sidebar should include these widgets “WooCommerce Cart Totals” and “Cart”.

If you want use to take a closer look for you, please feel free to contact our support at: https://stepbystepsys.com/contact/

    Andy

Hello, I tried to set a mandatory category, so that a user does not go to the next step, without selecting a product at least. I did that in categories, edited the desired category, and checked the ither-Or Category box. But it does not work. It continues to appear as optional. What I can do?

    Hello,

In order to make this mandatory, you did the correct thing by checking the category as either/or. The next thing you have to do is this:

Let’s say you have Product A, Product B, and Product C.

Edit one of those products scroll down to where you see:

Auto Add To Cart (checkbox) Automatically add to cart when customer navigates to containing page.

Make sure you check the box for this and now that category will force the customer to choose from one of these products. If, for example Product A has been “checked”, then it will automatically be added to that category. The customer will then be able to choose product b or c, but they will have to choose one of those three items.

Hope that all makes sense 🙂

Again, this is a feature of the premium plugin.

You can view an example of this at

https://plugin.stepbystepsys.com -> Specialty salads is the Either/Or category in the demo.

Ok, I have to compulsorily mark one as required. Another will I have problems if I set the store page as the sbs?

You can set your store page to any page you would like. Just make sure the SBS short code for the SBS navigation is on that page. You can copy the short code from our default page to your new page.

Thank you for your answers. Another question I have is about compatibility with attributes and variations and conditionals. It happens that in one step the user must select options but the next step must enable / disable options as chosen in the previous step. Can I achieve this with the plugin?
