Hi, I have a problem of double style sheet in Storefront. GTmetrix tells me that these 2 sheets render the same result for a different URL. Indeed if I inspect my site online 2 style sheets are present. The first is version 2.4.2, the one that is in my folder “wp-content / theme / storefront / style”, the second numbered 5.0.3 is however not found while the inspector reported it to me in the same place .. ..
I do not know how to solve this problem ….. If you have an idea …
    Thanks in advance…

Hey @aholstrya I’ve had a look at the gtmetrix results and I’m not sure where I’m supposed to look since almost everything on your site has 100% (although the sizes of the images could do with some improvement).

My guess is that 5.0.3 will be the version of WordPress you’re using, not Storefront.

Hello Job, that’s what I thought for a moment too, but the online inspector does name two style sheets, both in the same folder. Which is also incomprehensible because after verification with FileZilla I have only one .css file in my folder. Really, I do not understand. How can I send you screenshots?

Hi @aholstrya – thanks for those screenshots. I just can’t reproduce these on my test sites:

As a result, I have no idea what precisely is happening. If you’re using a child theme, it might be good to check if nothing is wrong there. Is the same still happening when you disable the child theme?

It could also be that where the stylesheet is loaded, a different version string is loaded twice.

Alternatively, you may consider just reinstalling Storefront entirely.

In sum, something on your site doesn’t entirely work well and I am not sure what it is.

Ok, thanks for that answer. But suddenly another question if I reinstall Storefront it is not likely to do damage to my site?

Hey @aholstrya – make sure to have a good backup beforehand. Configurations of the theme should be stored in your database, not in the theme folder; but given that it looks like you have quite a bit of custom code active there, I’m not 100% sure that this would work.

Did you try the conflict test (switching to Storefront instead of the child theme you have)? If that does the trick, the problem lies with your child theme, not with Storefront.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

Hello Job, sorry I was very busy and did not take the time to do any other tests, nor to answer.
You can, indeed, be the subject in “solved”, if necessary I will return to it later. Anyway, thank you for your help.
    Good day, good luck.
