Double emails

I have a setup where users are notified of new posts and the notifications actually include entire posts. When I enter posts manually, the notifications go out as they should. When I do it through Postie, I get double notifications. Sometimes I get one single post added with double notifications, and sometime I get two posts added and hence get two notifications. I have about 60 users.
