When a website is set to Single Opt-in, subscribers simply enter their emails, names, etc. to subscribe and they are on the list. If they tried to enter their email again to subscribe, the message in Subscription -> Speical Cases -> Error page is displayed telling them that they have already subscribed. This has no problem.

There is a problem with the logic in Double Opt-in, however. When the subscribers added their information to subscribe but HAVE NOT CONFIRMED, when they tried to enter their emails again to subscribe, the very same message from Subscription -> Speical Cases -> Error page is displayed, saying they have already subscribed. This is NOT true. They haven’t.

What shall happen is, the system shall simply re-send the activation email again and display the same Activation Message on the screen as if they are new subscribers. Of course, the record shall not be included again. It shall just simply resend the activation email, which is the proper logic in this Double Opt-in case.

I hope you can fix this soon. Thank you for your wonderful plugin.

    Hello @ezekielion,

thank you for your feedback and for your kind words. About your issue: did you check “Repeat subscribers” as yes in List Building > Subscription > General?

Thanks, Michael for getting back to me.

Right now the “Repeat subscribers” is set to “No”.  What will happen if I set to “Yes”?  Will the subscriber get listed twice? Will set to “Yes” resolve the issue?

Yes, means the subscription is overwritten if you set the opt-in to “single”, it is merged, after confirmation, if you set it to “double”.

    Stefano.
