Double Opt in

Is there anyway to enable an opt in email verification before information is sent to an icontact list?

so a person would complete a form and check the subscribe me to the newsletter box and click submit. Then they would be sent a verification email where they have to click a link to verify they are a real person before their details are added to the icontact list?
