Double menu bars

    Hello,

    I have a major problem with my site http://www.hovestein.nl
    For some reason I have a double menu bar. I guess this is caused by the fact that I have two home pages. One that I’ve made myself and another one that comes standard with the theme I’m using. I cannot delete or edit the standard home page. The theme I’m using is Tuto.

    Help would be very much appreciated to get rid of this double menu bar! So thanks a bunch in advance!

    Hi Bert,

    thanks for using Tuto WordPress theme.

    The 2nd red menu in your header is the Header Navigation and it seems you haven’t assigned any menu items to that menu. You can create and manage your menus in your WordPress dashboard under Appearance => Menus. Here you can find more information: How to create Custom Menus in WordPress.

    Hi,

    Thanks a lot!

    I know that I can use that. But my site isn’t connected to any social media. I also don’t see the use of splitting my menu items in two seperate menu bars. That’s why I would gladly delete the upper one.

    Have a look at the theme demo, there you can see why this can be useful.

    That’s why I would gladly delete the upper one.

    You could hide the upper menu with some CSS:

    .mh-header-nav-wrap, .mh-header-nav-mobile { display: none; }

    In order to add custom CSS code to your website, you can either make use of a child theme or plugins like Simple Custom CSS.
