double image on blog page

    I LOVE the blog index page where all the posts are in a grid and there is a featured image in black and white. It looks stunning. PROBLEM is that in order to have an image in that area, when you click on the post and go to the blog post page, it doubles the image along with my cover image that I want on top of the post.
    IF I DON’T add a header/main image to the post, the featured image is tiny and almost just annoying to have there.
    So I’m either sacrificing the awesome blog post page by having to NOT use feature images, or I can have a nice looking post.
    I want both, why is it doubling the image?
    It also won’t allow me to increase the size of the font.
    I really want to use this theme, is this something I can fix without a whole lot of experience? Please help. Smartcat isn’t responding to me.
