Support » Fixing WordPress » double borders around images?

  • ok, i’ve done searches for this, but all the sources have the same code for it in css, but I can’t get it to work…

    border: 1px double #6979a2;

    it only puts a single border…

    i’m using 2.0, could it be a version thing? i’m guessing that it was working in 1.5…

    Thank you…

  • You must use the:
    border-style: double; border-width: 1px; border-color: #6979a2;

    yeah…i just tried that and it didn’t work…hmmm

    i wonder why it won’t work…

    i just tried that one more time in case i did it wrong the first time….still no luck…

    could anything else be keeping it from doing this? i keep searching and the code to use is all the same, but it never works… mine is a kubric based theme on version 2.0…

    Defining a 1px “double” border is no good because that’s too thin. Try expanding it to 4px to see the difference:

    border-style: double; border-width: 4px; border-color: #6979a2;

    ok..that worked, somewhat… the borders aren’t all the same width on all sides…

    To clarify something you raised before: this has nothing to do with WordPress or any of it’s themes. This is purely a CSS thing.

    I assume you’re trying to apply the double border to a table? When you say “the borders aren’t the same width”, can you show us?

    i can’t show at the momment, but i can describe it better until i can get a screenshot… for the inner border, the left and top are 2px and the right and bottom are 1px and it is opposite for the outer border…
