Double Author box when using "Fancier Author Box by ThematoSoup"

Try to add this in style.css theme file:

#author-meta {
    display: none;
}

This should be hide default Author bio.

Keep in mind we are recommend to use Child theme for theme customizations:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
