# Dosen’t work

 * After manually remove the Wordfence database now I reinstall the plugin but it
   doesn’t working on my site. How can I solve it?

 * I recommend following the remove/reset instructions in our help documentation
   which lists all Wordfence database tables and highlights the steps for successful
   removal. There could be some items remaining that are causing issues for you

 * Also any more detailed information about specific error messages or broken pages/
   [console errors](https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/troubleshooting/#how-to-inspect-the-browser-console)
   you’re receiving after attempting to fully clean out the previous version of 
   the plugin would be of assistance to identifying the source of an issue. You 
   can use a service like [Snipboard](https://snipboard.io/) to provide screenshots
   if they’re easier to explain what’s happening.

 * I’ve seen the “process owner unavailable” message in many site diagnostics, and
   seems to be a certain permission is not granted on some environments. It’s usually
   not significant in whether the site is successfully running WordPress and Wordfence.
 * For the database issues you’re seeing, it would be a good idea to try [Wordfence Assistant](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence-assistant/)
   to remove all tables & data rather than the manual removal as that has worked
   for customers with similar issues in the past. Hopefully after this, a fresh 
   installation should go through successfully.
 * Causes of Tables missing can be:
    - Migrating a site from Windows to Linux.
    - Switching between Windows development & Linux production machines.
    - Database caching.
    - Restoring an older copy of the **wp_options** table after Wordfence was installed.
      After initial detection, we store the state in `wordfence_case` in **wp_options**.
      The value “1” means lowercase tables. “0” or null means mixed case. Restoring
      the table could have wiped out the option, causing it to revert to looking
      for mixed case tables.
 * If deactivating and activating Wordfence and Wordfence Assistant with a reinstall
   doesn’t help, then the next plugin update of Wordfence should fix it and the 
   error can be ignored.
