Don't works setting roles in multisite

    I wrote PHP codes to edit user roles in the “functions.php” file of the theme that I think, for example:

    remove_role (‘contributor’);

    Now I’m trying to use the multisite option, but I wrote all these functions stopped working, only work on the main site

    Someone could help me with this?
