Don't want the site url to show subfolder in address
Hi I’ve installed WordPress multisite in a sub folder and now want the site url NOT to show the folder in the address. eg my site is http://www.aust-dig.com, and I’ve edited the htaccess file so that this redirects to where the actual site is which is http://www.aust-dig.com/wp/.
Is there a way I can have the site url display without the /wp/ in the address without reinstalling wordpress at a root level? I’ve read this http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory but it doesn’t seem quite right.
I also tried this http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL and manually edited the database, but couldn’t get it working that way. Can anyone advise? I need to get the site ready by Saturday and would prefer not to start again from scratch and reinstall at the root level if at all possible.
