Don't want the "Email" line to be displayed for commenters (5 posts)

    Hi,

    I've recently switched back to using the WordPress/Jetpack commenting system on my self-hosted blog:

    http://next-expressed.com

    My issue is - I have unchecked the "Comment author must fill out name and email" part under "Discussion". Essentially I don't want to scare people off by requesting their email address when they're commenting.

    However, the comment box still asks for name, website, and email (even though it's optional and comment goes through if it's not entered). Is there any way to hide the "email" field so that it's not visible?

    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

    Add:

    .comment-form-email {display: none;}

    to the very bottom of your stylesheet.

    This will hide the field from displaying, but it will still be present in the source code. To remove from source code you will need to edit the php file that calls it. Consult theme dev.
