Support » Plugin: P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) » Don’t use it! Tutorial: How to deinstall this plugin again

  • Unfortunately, I haven’t read all the reviews before I installed & used this plugin – and it has also crashed my site (it led to a VERY high CPU & Memory Usage / high Server Load). Of course, the scan did stop after restarting php and webserver – however, as soon as I re-visited the wordpress site, the scan started again immediately in the background!!

    So there was no chance to deactivate this plugin over the administration webinterface, because it did not load.

    If this happens to you, you probably have to deinstall the plugin over the console. For this, download & install WP CLI:

    After this, cd to your wordpress installation dir and deactivate the plugin:

     $ cd /www/my-wordpress-site
     $ wp plugin deactivate p3-profiler
     $ wp plugin uninstall p3-profiler

    you also have to delete this file:
    rm wp-content/mu-plugins/p3-profiler.php
