Support » Plugin: Display Featured Image for Genesis » Don’t show featured image if too small – Disable backstretch on mobile

  • Hi ,

is it possible to not show the featured image at all if doesn’t meet the criteria ie Size
    ?

Is it possible to disable the backstretch image on smaller screens (phones) , but leave the title ? I can disable the big_leader easy enough , but that leaves me with no title if I’ve moved them into the featured image.

Well, the plugin behavior is to not show the featured image if it is smaller than the site’s Medium image width (set in Media settings). A general description of the criteria for making the decision on how/whether to output the image is in the plugin description. If you use a small enough image as your featured image, the backstretch script will not run at all.

If you use a backstretch sized image but do not want it to show at all on small screens, you can use a CSS media query to hide the .backstretch element. The script would still run, but the image would not show, at which point you could restyle the title output.
