Don’t Jump to Conclusions – It Just Works!

I agree with so many posters that having this plugin automatically install on all their SG-hosted websites was a misstep. I was pissed about it and immediately removed it from the site I was building (I host dozens of sites with SiteGround).

I’d been using Claude for a lot of things, so I decided to connect Claude to my site. What transpired was hours and hours over three days of trying to make that happen, with Claude “helping.” Claude told me to do the same wrong things over and over, and I had to remind Claude often about things we had already tried that didn’t work. Finally, I gave up.

I reinstalled the AI Agent by Siteground plugin. Within minutes it was up and running and had provided me with the custom CSS I needed to get things working the way I wanted them to.

SiteGround has stated that they had good intentions when they autoinstalled the plugin on everyone’s site. They said hooking an AI to a site could be confusing and challenging, and they were helping users who might not be able to do it. I believe them.

Bottom line. They shouldn’t have auto-installed it. But don’t be pissed at the plugin. It works very well.
