• I know it’s tempting because a lot of people have it, but I’ve been locked out of my site TWICE now, had to go to the host to get them to deactivate the plugin from the back end so I could log in.

Instead of going to the /wp-login page, it jumps me to the sign in page for my locked areas – the member entry page. I checked all the settings and sent a request for support. I got nothing from anyone.

Their support is non-existent and their plugin is broken.

Hi, Kirbie. Sorry you’ve run into trouble with your site login while PMPro is active.

Logins are tricky with WP because many plugins, some themes, and many hosts all interact with the login functionality. And so, depending on your setup and settings, unexpected things can happen.

PMPro members are just WP users, and use the same login as your WP site. You can set up a frontend login page through the Memberships > Pages settings. Or you can update the settings there to “Use the default WP login” which should disable any kind of login page redirect PMPro would do.

Even so there might be issues, because WP sites are complicated. And in those cases, we need more information about what you are trying to do, how your site is set up, and/or access to the site in question. We help our customers through these issues 100% of the time.

I write this for the benefit of others who see this review, because I know that we already shared this with you in the same-day reply to your email that came into our contact form queue 3 days ago.

Users are encouraged to ask for support through the .org forums here or get paid support through our site: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/support/

You can also use the contact form on our site to notify us of bugs and issues or even get free support, because we respond to everyone we can within a few business days.

Good luck with your site. I hope you find a setup that works for your needs.
