• Most of the positive star ratings are from before Photocrati bought the plugin and ruined it. WordPress should separate the reviews from those prior to version 2.0.0

    It’s very misleading.

@jsowers897 – There are still positive ratings and reviews being made, but unfortunately it seems people experiencing issues and having problems are also more apt to write a poor review first and ask questions later.

We are here to help where we can, but we need to know about the specific issue(s) on the specific site before we can make any attempts at providing suggestions or a work-around … or solutions to these issues.

I’m not saying there aren’t some positive reviews, I am saying you shouldn’t be able to take advantage of all the star ratings that were made prior to your taking over the Plugin and completely changing the code. So the ratings are misleading because most of the positive ones were from back when the plugin was great. and not yours. It worked great prior to 2.0.xx and deserves all those stars.

@jsowers897 – I agree it would be nice to see how each version “rated” as that would be a great measure of the plugin but unfortunately that is not the case at this time.

The thing is, with an estimated installation base of ~500K users, we really are not seeing a fair representation in the forums or reviews of the actual working instances that continue to enjoy the plugin without issue.

Yes I agree that the previous positive ratings are not reflective of the actual current state of affairs. I just “upgraded” and had most of my galleries disappear.

I have given up on NextGen.
