  • The support for problems is appalling. I have a problem with the plugin generating incorrect output, and posted a support question on the WP forum. The developer’s answer was to:
    “Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all other plugins.”
    Which of course is the equivalent of “turn it off and on again”, which is rubbish. No apparent attempt to investigate the problem. And it was marked by the developer as ‘RESOLVED’.
    Again I posted the same issue, again the problem was marked as ‘RESOLVED’.
    Absolute rubbish.

    Plugin authors are under no obligation to offer support. We are already the beneficiaries of thousands of hours of this author’s work for free. Also, consider that Contact Form 7 plugin has over 5 million active users. That’s a lot of free support to expect.

    Not at all. There are currently 52,655 plugins and 1,000s of themes in the repository for download. That means millions of different combinations that change daily as updates are pushed. Ruling out a theme or plugin conflicting with the plugin is the *first* stage in troubleshooting, and can only be carried out by you the site admin. This is achieved by following the advice given.

    Probably because you didn’t follow the troubleshooting guidance.
