Hi Matt, I desperately need the recaptcha on this page. I have one already on my contact page, but I can’t figure for the life of me how to get it here. Today I was spammed with over 3k emails because it wasn’t secure.

I’ve tried to add it, and have managed, but I really am not sure where to put it so it would connect to the “donate” button. So I have since taken it off

    Please help!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

We put in some new security features in the latest version of Give that should help with these sorts of things, so if you haven’t updated to the latest version, that’s step one.

Here are some additional steps you can take to mitigate this sort of thing from our end:

First, activate our Akismet SPAM integration. Navigate to Donations > Settings > Advanced (tab) And select “Enabled” by the Akismet option. That requires the Akismet plugin to be active on the site but will help with spam donations.

Next, this snippet allows you to add reCAPTCHA fields to the forms: (note that it needs customization from a developer to change out the keys, but once you configure the keys, it should show just below the donate button on the page you’ve linked to)

If you need assistance implementing custom code on your website we have this guide:

I’d also consider installing a security plugin like Sucuri or SiteLock, to help with these sorts of situations.

Finally, increasing the minimum amount on the form helps as well.

Let me know if that resolves things, or if you need further assistance. Thanks for using Give! Have a great day.
