# Donation with minimum amount?

 * I’m using stripe-payments to implement a donations button. I want the donation
   amount to be variable. However, I’m concerned that a malicious actor could make
   lots of donations of £0.01, which would cost us money because of Stripe fees.
 * Is there a way to set a minimum amount?

 * Hi, please check the following [documentation](https://stripe.com/docs/currencies#minimum-and-maximum-charge-amounts).
   From what I understand Stripe does not allow a minimum amount to be lower than
   what the charging fees are for the currency used. Unless I misunderstood the 
   documentation.

 * Ah, I had totally missed that. And apparently (*embarassed blush*) I hadn’t tried
   making a really small donation, because your plugin pops up a “minimum amount
   is…” message on pressing Donate, which is presumably before the transaction even
   hits Stripe at all!
