Support » Plugin: Seamless Donations » Donation Report >> wrong or fraudulent source!!??

  • I have a few problems with this plugin, I tried the IPN and dont get thank you emails or any donor information. also I went looking for the information in the reports and found the wrong reports there! Surprisingly it seems to be reading names and amounts from my own paypal with one of my own 1$ tests as the newest entry. however my paypal is not the one being used, my client’s is the recipient of the donations from this form.

The money goes into the right account but why does the plugin pick up information from within my paypal account when its not the recipient? my email address was used as the test payer and supposed to recieve the donation information though i get a blank email in my spam folder from the plugin only, aside form the receipt from paypal.

This plugin seems pretty broken on my end.. but right now I really need to know that my paypal hasnt been hacked please tell me whats going on with this page!

  • Hi!

It looks like you have seamless donations set with a PayPal email address of theatertlk at aol. Is that the address you want your donations to go to?

Make sure that in your WordPress dashboard, under Seamless Donations > Settings > Payment Gateways that you have the PayPal email address you want to donations to go.

yes, that email is in the settings and its receieving the donations, however the reports show numbers from my own personal paypal account, a different account altogether. how its pulling info from my account is totally byond me i cant see how thats possible, unless theres a hack or serious bug. can you explain this?

I’m going to have to move on to another plugin or solution, your plugin is broken, you should take it out and fix it before releasing it to the public again.

If you send me a screenshot of the report we should be able to get to the bottom of what is happening on your particular site. Your report of seeing unexpected values in a donation report is the first one – so I don’t think this problem is widespread.

You can email the screenshot to allen at allendav dot com
