Domain workaround – should I use multisite?

  • I have a wp site that is installed in the root of site1.com and site2.com that is installed in site1.com/site2.

I’m unable to map site2.com to site1.com/site2 and was wondering if there was a way to change this using the .htaccess file?

I know multisite is an option, but there won’t be anymore sites besides these two. Is there a best way to solve this issue?

Thank you! Any help or links appreciated

  • It’s not a .htaccess thing. If you create site2 as an ‘addon’ domain and point it to site1.com/site2 on your server, you’ll have a second domain.
