# Domain URL Issue

 * So I recently installed WordPress to my Hostgator account and everything went
   smoothly after painstakingly stumbling my way around removing index.php from 
   my URL’s, but the issue I’m having is that WordPress or the theme I’m using automatically
   assigns my main domain to a blog post and not a page that I can edit. I don’t
   plan on using WordPress for a blog site, so this is a major issue that I cannot
   seem to figure out. I tried to follow a guide about installing WordPress to a
   subdirectory and pointing the url to [http://www.mydomain.com/home](http://www.mydomain.com/home)
   or something, but I just screwed it up and had to reinstall WP again.

 * Your Latest Posts is the default of Home Page (“Front page displays”). You can
   change it to a Static Page of your own.
