    how do I get to the domain root folder or public_html folder of of my website ?

    You will need to contact your host for help with this. Usually I access this through cPanel on my clients sites or if they are on Dreamhost or some other non-cPanel hosting provider I will access it via their FTP/sFTP protocol.
