 * I recently purchased a domain name through the other wordpress site. Then realized
   it did not meet my needs.
    Do I have to register with a new domain host to use
   this wordpress site?

 * If the domain you registered doesn’t fit your need you will have to register 
   a new domain for your site.
 * Hosting your website has nothing to do with the domain name purchase. Most hosting
   providers offer domain name registration to help users but the two processed 
   are separate.
 * You can but a domain name from company A and hosting from company B. Then use
   the domain from company A to company B with proper configuration (DNS).
