# Domain name Changed

 * My wp site domain name has changed.. I used to just point to my IP address (which
   is dynamic) but now have finally got around to registering a site name. Is there
   a way to have my wp blog updated with the new domain name?
 * I looked on the help section “Moving WordPress”, but none of those cases speak
   to just the domain name changing, with the server staying the same..

 * You just need to omit the information about moving the actual files.
 * In other words, follow the instructions relating to changing your WordPress address(
   URI) and the Blog address (URI)

 * Awesome.. Thanks, I dove in and it all went very smooth. Only question is how
   would I change the Links for the Pictures that were contained in the posts? They
   didnt seem to get updated with the permalinks nor the main option site name..??

 * The path to your images included in the posts is stored in the database with 
   the post content.
 * The only way that I know of is to use the “search and replace” plugin and change
   the old path in the whole database.
    BACKUP FIRST, of course, just in case something
   goes wrong!
