Domain name change in .sql in text editor with search and replace

    Hi all,

    Since there are several ways to change domain name in database, I find it easiest to open .sql in text editor and search and replace old domain name, at least when I am working with small databases. To be honest I rearly do this, as I always set my virtual host have same domain name as production server.

    What are your thoughts on this? What do you think are best practices for changing domain name in database?
