domain name

I’m trying to remove the
/wordpress

from my wordpress URL domain so people can get to the site by typing in just my domain but I don’t understand how to do that?

My domain is currently linking to a zencart site which I no longer use so I suppose I need to remove it from that first? Heaven knows how….
