• I installed the Domain Mapping plugin on WP multisite subfolder installation.
    domain.de
    domain.at
    domain.us
point all to domain.com (domain forwarding)

    Example:
    domain.de opens domain.com/de/
This works fine and it is configured using the Domain Mapping plugin.

    Question:
Is it possible to tell WordPress not to change the URL, so
domain.de opens domain.com/de/ but domain.de still shows up as the URL in the browser?

  • Edit the site to remove the references to the originating subfolder.

Or use a domain mapping plugin that does this.

Hmm, that didn’t help or I just don’t understand it.

domain.de points to domain.com/de/ which ist site id 5
So I edited site id 5 and removed the “de” in the fields where it appeared. No luck.

    Which one? I use: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/

domain.de points to domain.com/de/ which ist site id 5
So I edited site id 5 and removed the “de” in the fields where it appeared. No luck.

And did you change domain.com/de/ to domain.de?
