[resolved] Domain mapping with WordPress installed in a subdirectory (3 posts)

I have my domains correctly resolving to the proper IP, but when I enable domain mapping via the plugin I end up in a redirect loop. I've seen a few older posts which say domain mapping isn't compatible with WordPress installed in a subdirectory. Is this still the case? If so, is there a workaround?

WP can be installed in a subdirectory with DM as long as you have the home of the site in the root of the website.

If the root of the website is not your WP install then it's not technically possible for DM to work.

If you do have WP set up so it loads in the root of the website then check your .htaccess to see that the rewrite rules are the correct ones for that configuration.

Ok. WordPress is not installed in the root, so that's my issue. I can just move the WP install into the root and that should fix the problem. Shame it's not compatible. I always install WP in a subdirectory to keep the server tidy.
