    Hi,
I am a bit confused about domain mapping. I have a WordPress Multisite network. I have each site as a subdomain, e.g. site1.website.com. I want site1.website.com to go to http://www.site1.com. I installed the Domain Mapping Plugin and that seems OK. I am not sure how to configure it. In the Domain Mapping Configuration page I added the site IP. In Domains I have three fields, Site ID, Domain and Primary. In Site ID I put the ID for the site, in Domain I put the domain, e.g. site1.com an I ticked the Primary box. With the domain registrar for the domain name, site1.com I added the nameserver for the server where the multisite network is. However, the site is not resolving, what have I done wrong?

Before you can use the domain mapping plugin, you have to actually map the domain, via your registrar, so that site1.com points to website.com (yes, I know).

With the domain registrar for the domain name, site1.com I added the nameserver for the server where the multisite network is.

That’s part of it 🙂 You have to also tell your nameserver ‘site1.com points to the same place website.com is.’ WHich is what we call ‘parking’ a domain.
