Doing collaborative workflows?

Hi everyone,

I am very new to WP and am hoping the community can help point me in the right direction for doing something like this:

* Multiple authors can co-create a single post
* They can send it to an editor user to make changes or publish it

It’d be awesome if the authors could add to the article in sections, for example, author 1 writes 2 paragraphs, then author 2 writes a paragraph, then author 3 writes 5 paragraphs, then author 2 writes again, then sends it to the editor.

I am not sure where to begin with something like this.
