Doesn't work with Theme:Origami / SiteOrigin Page Builder

This looks like a great plugin, but I can only get it to work in the ‘official’ widget areas. I’m using the theme Origami Premium, which includes a drag and drop page builder. Trying to use the widget there has no effect.
