Support » Plugin: Easy HTTPS Redirection (SSL) » Doesn’t work with NearlyFreeSpeech

  • Sadly, this doesn’t work with NearlyFreeSpeech, nor does regular .htaccess directives for redirecting HTTPS. Luckily, I know how to manually disable a plugin (by deleting it via FTP) and how to change the .htaccess file via FTP as well.

I suppose it’s not the plugin author’s fault though, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 1.

Hi, thank you for your 3 star review 🙂

Sorry to hear that it did not work for you as expected. Perhaps you might like to open up a support thread so that we can investigate further your issue.

    Thank you

Thank you for the offer, but I’d rather not put the time into it, especially because I found an option in the NFS control panel that’ll take care of this.

For anyone else that might be coming across this who are also NFS customers, just…

    1) Go to the Sites tab and click your site’s short name
    2) In the ‘Config Information’ box (scroll down a bit), click Canoncial URL
    3) Type: Hard; Canonical HTTPS: On
    4) Click Save
