Same here.
Bummer too as this is the only plugin I can find that fills my needs perfectly.
Hi,
What means it does not work? Error messages? No data in google analytics? Do you use universal analytics?
I am using it myself and it works as intended on my end.
Widget displays message: “The “Google Analytics Top Content” widget requires the plugin, “Google Analytics by Yoast”, to be installed and activated.”
I’m getting the same error message as JureCuhalev.
The “Google Analytics Top Content” widget requires the plugin, “Google Analytics by Yoast”, to be installed and activated.
Went back to 5.5.4 in the meantime.

i solved it by installing old version (5.5) of monsterinsights.. but who knows for how long this will work 🙁
update of this plugin would be great
Hi there,
I’m the author of the MonsterInsights plugin. We submitted a pr for MI 6 support back in November but it looks Justin forgot to test & merge it: https://github.com/jtsternberg/Google-Analytics-Top-Content-Widget/pull/18
I’ll see if I can get ahold of him to update it but I can’t garuntee anything.

Hello. Great! thanks very much for your effort 😉
Muchas gracias chriscct7.
Thanks to Chris’ (chriscct7) contribution, I was able to push an update to the plugin tonight. You should see 1.7.0 available in your dashboards. https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-top-posts-widget/changelog/
Hello Justin.
Thanks, but unfortunatelly it still doesnt work after update 🙁
I noticed it says:
The “Google Analytics Top Content” widget requires the plugin, “Google Analytics by MonsterInsights”, to be installed and activated.
But plugin’s name is “Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights”
Could this be the problem?
Oops, sorry, forgot to update the requirements check for the widget. 1.7.1 should do it.
It works now, thank you 😉
