Many thanks for the review @foxmox, and sorry to hear you’ve been encountering problems with Analytics tracking. And certainly I’d be happy to assist. To start, please share your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.

Note also that when you mention Google Ads, this may be related to your Analytics snippets not firing. I suspect this may be due to Consent Mode configurations within Site Kit, or with a third party consent type plugin. Once we have your Site Health information, we can advise on this further.

@foxmox Thanks for sharing the information. As noted by James above, if you are using Google Ads on your site with Site Kit active then you will need to use the consent mode option within the plugin. Could you please confirm if you are currently using this? More information and instructions on how to configure consent mode for Site Kit can be found here.

Once configured you should start to see visitors and sales being tracked once more. If you need any further help with this or have any questions then please let us know and we will be happy to help.

@foxmox Just to confirm, I can see that you have a consent feature active on your site. It’s very likely that without a third party consent plugin correctly configured, your loss of traffic can be attributed to this. This is due to the recent Digital Markets Act (DMA) changes.

If you wish to disable any consent feature, I’m happy to check your site once more to confirm all is tracking as expected. You can also use the Google Analytics real time reporting tool after disabling any consent feature on your site.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you!

I’m looking for the solution, how to resolve this problem?

The solution is to ensure all site visits are tracking by default. To troubleshoot this please ensure you have Consent Mode disabled within the Site Kit plugin, and any other cookie related plugin on your site.

After doing so, please confirm that your site visit (while not logged into to your site) is being tracked using the Google Analytics Real time reporting tool. If you let me know when you’ve done so, I will also perform some checks using the tagassistant.google.com service.

You’ll find out more on consent mode by visiting this guide, and it’s a requirement in some regions as per Digital Markets Act (DMA) changes. Once we confirm that visits to your site are tracking, I can assist you with configuring Consent Mode correctly on your site, using a third party plugin so users are able to provide consent for tracking.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

@foxmox I’m just following up with you to check whether you’ve had an opportunity to check your consent mode and third party consent management plugin to ensure all is working as expected, or if you need any further assistance with this?

    Hi there,

When using constent mode in the app, the google analytics can’t track people on the website. It doesn’t work for me.

    Thank you,

Appreciate the update @foxmox and sorry to hear that. If you’d like to share your site URL I’d be happy to take a look. I suspect that a consent management plugin, which is required for consent mode as per this guide, may not be configured correctly. I’m happy to check your site to confirm this. Note that even if consent mode is configured correct with a third party management plugin, it’s also possible to encounter a drop in traffic, as EEU and UK visitors visitors must explicitly grant consent before being tracked.

If you prefer to share your site URL privately, please use this form. Thank you!
