I absolutely love this plugin and have used it for podcasts before, always with very happy clients.

However, I am trying to implement it now on a news site with tens of thousands of posts (and growing). Neither the feed nor the podcast page are showing up, and every time I try to load the /podcast/ page I get the following in the error logs (with a lot more post IDs):

    KILLED QUERY (17227 characters long generated in /nas/content/live/ktootest01/index.php:17): SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS ktoo_posts.ID FROM ktoo_posts WHERE 1=1 AND ktoo_posts.ID IN (107554… )

According to tech support from the hosting company, the problem comes from having too many posts in the site, and the plugin would need to reduce the need for “SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS ktoo_posts.ID FROM ktoo_posts WHERE 1=1 AND ktoo_posts.ID”.

Is there any way to use this plugin with sites with a lot of posts? I really love this plugin and hate to go to another inferior one!

    Hi there,

I have been largely offline for the last few months and have been unable to help out all of this plugin’s awesome users in this forum. I’m sorry if this has inconvenienced you!

As a result there are a large number of questions here that I just don’t have the time to answer effectively. There’s also a very good chance that the majority of them are no longer valid as it has been quite a while since they were posted.

With that in mind, I’m going to close all of them (including this one), so if you still require support then please create a brand new topic and I will respond on there going forward, as I have time to do so.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Cheers,
    Hugh
