Hi there, first of all: Thank you for doing this plugin. I really appreciate your work, especially due to data privacy reasons 😉

But, I’m afraid, it doesn’t work in my case. The writable folder is correct and has the right 0755-setting. I also tried both copy-options (file_get_contents/fopen), but with no effect. Even new comments with a new mail won’t get cached.

The avatars are still from the Gravatar-URL, not from my cache folder. (Sorry, I have no link… The website ist not ready for public.)

    Hi Sebastian,

    thanks fot this:)

Can you give me an URL with a comment via E-Mail?
    harry[aet]all4hardware4u[dot]de
So i can take a look without make it public;)

And are you looking at the site without being logged in as admin? The plugin doesn’t cache if the user(you) is logged in. That’s because you should see any changes without caching.

    Best regards,
    Harry

    Same here https://www.li-an.fr/blog/cd-alea/diggin-tunnel-sir-was/

I tested with another Gravatar cache plugin and it works.

    Hi Li-An,

if you have an issue please start a new topic;)

On your link it seems that is another problem and not the same like this one from Sebastian. So it would be nice to start a new topic here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/harrys-gravatar-cache

On your link there are Gravatars on the right side from a “Recent Comment”-Plugin/Widget. If you can give me the relevant informations(in a new topic) i will try to solve this.
As you can see on my site, this gravatars from this recent comments on the right side are be able to be cached too:

    Best regards,
    Harry

Sorry for the delay! Actually I switched quickly to the plugin FV Gravatar Cache, which works great at first time (at least in my case).
