Support » Plugin: WP Review » Doesn’t Work As Advertised, No Refund Policy

  • Tried the Free version, but it was so crippled I was forced to buy the Pro version to see if what I needed worked. The price is outrageous for a plugin, and requires an annual subscription, which should have set off alarms right away. I tested the plugin for all of an hour before I realized it wasn’t as customizable as they say — the sidebar widget, for example, is hardcoded and fixed, with only 3 or so options; and adding full posts to another widget doesn’t show the rating, which is sort of the point.

As reported, “management” responds to refund request with a firm “NO!” saying because it’s a digital product, you take ownership no matter what. No exceptions, they say, unless it “doesn’t work as advertised.” Clearly it doesn’t, but since they have to agree to your complaint, it means you lose your money.
