doesn’t work after page level >1
-
Hello!
Thanks for the nice and promising plugin!
Problem is:
Unexisting page https://dom-noi.ru/pomoshch follows to custom 404 page. OK!But pages with more than one level follow to server nginx 404 page
https://dom-noi.ru/pomoshch/donation.htmlthe settings are default https://i.imgur.com/FgJ0Uyr.png
What the problem can be?
Thank you!
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I noticed that any page with an extension like https://dom-noi.ru/sitemap.xml follows to Nginx 404 page.
But https://dom-noi.ru/sitemap – is processed correctly.I forgot to tell that I use Avada theme.

Almost same problem.
For me the 404 plugin is not working on the first level: https://www.consultport.com/aa but it does work on a further level: https://www.consultport.com/aa/bbb
Worth mentioning that the pluggin works perfectly when WPML is deactivated and I use Avada theme.
Any solutions? Thank you 🙂

by the way: I have not WPML plugin installed.
I’m sorry you’re having problems with the plugin. Unfortunately I’m not able to reproduce those problems. Everything works fine on my testing machine. So please follow this checklist https://wordpress.org/support/topic/please-read-this-before-posting-a-new-topic/ and let me know about the results. If you can find the reason, I hope, I’m able to fix it.
Regards,
PeterHi, Peter!
Following to your checklist I
1) changed the theme to twenty seventeen
2) disabled all plugins except yours (404page)The results are the same:
If I test any unexisting page with some extention (“.html”)
like https://dom-noi.ru/pomoshch/donation.html,
I get default Nginx 404 page: https://i.imgur.com/xJfsaG4.pngBut pages
https://dom-noi.ru/pomoshch/donation.html/
https://dom-noi.ru/pomoshch/donation
lead to the correct 404 page (by plugin). What info I need to provide or what test I need to pass more?
regards,
VladimirHi Vladimir,
please deactivate the 404page plugin and check if the default Nginx 404 page is also shown without the 404page plugin active. I suspect that the problem is caused by a Nginx configuration and not by my plugin.
